This one hurts me more than you'll ever know but you earned it. Congradulations I-20 Champions.
Two years ago myself and Bill Leesaft sit down one day and dreamed up the idea for the I-20 cup. We dd this so that we could draw attendance and interest in arena football in the state.
It started out small the first game there was no cup. The second game I along with the Spartan nation fan club donated the money for the first cup. Joe Long then Florence Phantom fan club President and Jack Bowman then GM thought it would be a great idea.
Today me and Joe are still friends the cheer leading pictures of the farm animals Florence posted the fighting lasted for three weeks before the game. The silly bets with the tee shirts you name it even the head of the phantoms fan club having to use our Logo on his web site.
When the Phantoms had money troubles and couldn't pay the players the Spartans stepped up and agreed to play you again.
All week long myself and a few others haven't given you alot of credit but you have a good team.
You seem to have put it all together in a short period of time. No you don't have a championship team yet but you know that comes one game at a time.
Augusta never was a threat in this one. They were out coached and out played. They have nobody to blame in this one but themselves. The dropped passes, missed blocks, penaltys, .
Now with that said I wish my Phantom friends the best this post season.
Now for the negative
The personal foul calls and the three obvious pass interference calls were poor.
I also find it along with others the constant interruption of fans coming into a game late way after its started annoying. Get to the game on time are within reason are at least have the class to say excuse me.
Now the final remark
Whoever the guy was who was taking back footballs caught by fans in the stands claiming that your shipment didn't come in on time with no Phantom shirt or id.
That was disgraceful and poor whoever dropped the ball there should be disciplined.
And if he wasn't ordered by the team to do this somebody needs to call that to the attention of the Florence County Sheriffs Office.
They did that in Columbia Stingers NIFL game one time and never sent anybody nothing.
This isn't the way to do business I hope somebody looks into this.
