Who is your pick for the Championship this year? I know its early, but this is always fun.
I am going to go out on a limb and say Georgia.

Im not to over joyed with picking Georgia for the national championship just yet. As a coach myself this is the kiss of death. People see you as a target and give you their A game and throw everything they have at you.
They have a good shot of it but will wait and see.
USC Gamecocks will play them tight in Columbia as will many.
This has got to be USC Gamecocks breakout year. Folks with the money and power at Carolina are getting tired of hearing next year, next year, this year Carolina had better do something are they probably will be some folks jobless. Carolina does a poor job of recruiting its own state and has poor relations with the coaches in the high schools in the state. Many good kids with talent have gone on recruiting visits as for example quarterback and told they would play another postition at USC only to go elsewhere to play.
Carolina signed Aramis Hillary as a quarterback out of Strom Thurmond High who was offered the starting job at Miss State. Carolina signed him away and he is now redshirted while attending the spring game at USC we all saw how awful the current quarterbacks are at USC.
This is going to have to be the year at USC the money is tired of sinking it in a program of dead chickens with no hope.

Now in keeping with our theme of a kinder gentler football mentality lets not forget our Garnet/Black and Orange/Purple/White brothers and sisters. My mother was a Gamecock grad and my brother attended USC my cousin is a Tiger and I'm a Florida State fan. Stinks riding to Columbia for the FSU Club meetings we need more FSU fans in the state of SC. Was only 50 at Coach Bowdens bbq.

Good choice would love to see them get into a conference alot of us feel that this gives a team leverage in the BCS.

Money gives a team leverage. Ehh, the only leverage they have is getting invited to bowl games to play opponents much more talented then themselves. And then they get blown out every time.

I am a seminole fan but I think Florida and USC Trojans have to be the early favorites to push for the national championship. Florida is ready and if USC quarterback sitution pans out they will be pretty tough to beat. West Virginia is another team to keep an eye on.

As much as I hate to say this but the National Championship will pass thru the swamps of Florida and Tim Tebow.

i dont think it will be UF there are tooooo many good teams in the SEC for any of them to win the nat'l title in my opinion, i know that hasnt mattered before but UF has to deal with UGA, LSU, @ TENN, @ vandy, @ FSU, Miami, @ arkansas and South Carolina.......too tough man geez------i AM A SEMINOLE, but we arent there yet either, my personal pick this year looks like its going to be ...................Ohio State

I see what your saying but LSU lost ryan periloux and all those guys to the draft. Tenn lost a few of their key starters Miami needs to work out there QB situation and arkansas lost both there start RB's which was their entire offense. I think there toughest game will be against UGA. I'm a UCF fan and its hard for me to man up and say Florida will be in the championship. BUt it might be a Florida vs Ohio St rematch since OSU plays such a cupcake non-conference schedule.
