But didn't Arizona bring in a lot of backups and scout players to play this game to get them same reps? Or was that claim exagerrated?

according to them yes the roster was filled with people they wanted to take a look at, but UT had their QB's number at first and he was not one of those players!

Adrenaline beat Saints, await Wyoming KEARNS, Utah - In a game that featured 10 turnovers, countless penalties and other assorted follies, the Arizona Adrenaline came away with a 43-22 victory over the Utah Saints Tuesday night in Utah. Adrenaline Quarterback Chad DeGrenier was picked off two times in the game's first five minutes after not throwing an interception all season. The Adrenaline also lost two fumbles, but improved their record to 5-1 entering Sunday's big matchup with the Wyoming Cavalry beginning at 4 p.m. at Tim's Toyota Center. Ironically, despite the five turnovers, it was a turnover that locked this one up for Arizona. With 6:40 left in the third period and the Adrenaline leading only 30-22, Arizona's Sully Beard intercepted a Mike Afflack pass one yard deep in the end zone and returned it 51 yards for a touchdown. From that point on, Utah did virtually nothing offensively, scoring only seven points in the last three periods combined. DeGrenier did hit Quincy Jackson for two touchdown passes on the night, while running back Ty Evans ran one in and linebacker Nick Hannah scooped up a fumble and ran it in for a touchdown as well. But the TD that might have put the game on ice occurred with 5:26 left in the game. That's when Chino Valley resident Robert Jones ran it in from six yards out for one of Jones' many nifty runs in the fourth period. Jones' TD made the score 43-22 and all but ended a sloppy game from beginning to end. Big nose guard Sydney Hayes had two key sacks in the fourth period and many other hurries as Arizona's defense buckled down after a slow start. The Adrenaline actually trailed in the game, 1-0 after a game opening rogue-kickoff and then 8-0 before taking control. Sunday's matchup will be a battle for first place with Wyoming standing at 6-0 following its 80-34 route of New Mexico on Thursday. www.dcourier.com/main.asp?SectionID=2&subsectionID=2&articleID=55081

That score surprises me. I would have thought their backups with their #1 Qb would have done more damage. But it is hard to say. Maybe they were trying new schemes and plays they never used before

There should be a mercy rule for all wyoming games. Or they should cut the games down to 3 quaters. Wyoming is the only legit team out west.

They were also the only legit team coming into the season!!!!!
AZ, NM, & UT were expansion teams starting from the ground up. What you are seeing is the teams that had more time to prepare taking the lead. AZ was announced then NM Then UT if i'm not mistaken. These teams were not given the full oppurtunity to prepare and for a team like WY who stays prepared meant Fresh fish for the taking. AZ is a good team and very professionally marketed. They will have no problem staying healthy in the organization and on the field. NM will get there if they continue to involve themselves with its community. UT could and should be able to stay afloat but they have began horribly! If they stay again for next year it will be essential to pester the community, if you will, into aknowledging their existence and demanding some support!! It's all gonna start from the owner who I didn't realise had such a background!
..........has anyone read his bio on the website? He has been involved with indoor football forever it seems

Lionsroar I bought into his backround and am totally miffed by that. I don't understand his thinking and his inability to do anything right at this level. Especially with him working with the Cav's last year and seeing how they do things. Utah is huge for population and I don't see how you can only have 400 to 450 a game there unless you do nothing to get the word out. As far as the West went. AZ was the first public release for a team then Utah but they were in the mix from day one pretty much. I think one big problem was his rec league got in the way with the AIFA team. Their league didnt finish until the beginning of March I believe. None the less it isn't a good enough excuse for the debacle that has happened in Utah. And from what was said is the big problem was when his coach left for personal reasons(which i don't blame him) then the other coach left becasue of that. And taking with him the most talented players to play outdoor semi-pro ball. Can you tell me why they were enticed more by playing semi-pro over this level of play? That's what needs figured out. To me it sounds like because of the management. There is plenty of talent in Utah. They used to kick our ass when we played them. So what the heck is the deal.. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm Oh and NM was the last team to come to fruition in the west after speculation of Colorado coming on board.
