Let's clear this up for the last time how did we the phantoms cheat
anything. The game on Friday was not the best situation for the league or us(phantoms) or Huntington but a game had too go on so don't fool yourself into thinking different. We looked forward to playing the real Huntington team due too the game in WV where the scored was tied going into the fourth quarter so too say we were disappointed to not avenge that loss verse that team and the rivalry's that existed with the staff's being from lake land was a disappointment.
Now in regards to the players for all those who did not know the Huntington players contracts were breached for non pay which made them free agents all last week. on top of that the owner told any players who did not want too stay they were free too go. The players that we signed had a relationship with our VP from last years team in lakeland and decided to come here. No cheating, no covert stealing just men trusting another person too pay them on time.
let's move beyond this and focus on the NOW Huntington is still here and have a big game this week good luck! And I assure you every statement in this post is correct so let's stop the cheating TALK bull_hit!

the DBs in question were on Huntington's 30 man roster and were up to date on money. Take that and smoke it!

Have you ever noticed that when Huntington loses, someone else always cheated? It's a fact. Every time the Legends beat their whiney asses, we cheated. When Reading beat them, they cheated. When Florence beat them, they cheated. When anybody else beat them, the officials cheated. But, everytime the Zeros won, it was definitely on the up and up. Take your   down to the little Sandy, waddle up to the beer stand, knock down one or twelve, buy an extra one to pour on the other team, and root your Hero lovin off for your replacement team. |

Reading cheated? seriously? lol. The Legends did get the best of numerous times, but cheated just once. Reading plain kicked our butts this season, no excuses for that loss.
We just get cheated once a year, so were all good now!
By the way, Canton has yet to win a game, Florence has yet to beat a real team!

It's really something to see this unfold the way it has. I was with the team for a most of this season and was there the night of the infamous walkout on Florence. I'm not going into all the details because as Joe said this isn't the place, nor does it concern anyone but those involved, but quite frankly you all have the details distorted. No one has the right version or really anything close. The closest truth is that the players were owed a lot of money (by the way its hard to argue that they were being paid over league minimums when they weren't being paid period). Cut and dry. Would any of you continue to work if you weren't paid on time, nonetheless weeks late. Simply stated the team is in dismal shape and it showed Saturday night. The attendance was pathetic and I would love to see how many of those in attendance were paying ticketholders or just comp tickets. The team is not at a level that it once was and in a town that already showed no interest in a first place team, this will further its demise. Please don't try to bring up any more he said she said garbage. Whoever you talked to is giving you their own spin on the story and unless you were there you really don't know what happened. Honestly I only came to this board to see what was being said about a possible folding of the team and thought the exaggerated (and sometimes laughable) rumors needed comment. Thanks.
