somebody had to do it since people in New Mexico seem to not care!
does anyone know the paper that would cover the wildcats? cos If i could find it I'd post an article on the game here but I don't even know if there is a write up.
Columbus drops the ball so much on reporting I don't expect much more

Utah is not going to make it. First two home games, and no advertising, hardly any fans, and you have to believe next to zero sponsorship to accompany the fan support.

Ok so we need to demand more coverage from Utah and New Mexico and demand them to join us in league conversation and updating us and their fans in town giving the coverage they deserve!
.........Everyone begin your e-mails to the contact us section!
Make people who visit this site and maybe want to take part in their team (saints in this case) made to feel like the rest of the league cares!
I just want teams for strengnth and not for numbers

Short game summary: unofficial attendance 450(this maybe due to the Mormon Church conference this week end, Players and coaches hit the schools and local businesses this week as well as mailers went out to over 3000 people with 2 for 1 tickets. As far as TV or news paper coverage neither will even return a call with the 0-6 blaze and the Jazz to compete with for coverage. Utah lead most of the game by 7 to 10 pts, then a 2 costly turn overs by Saints qb Jeff Wissler(both batted balls that resulted in int for td) changed the momentum. Still with NM going up 47 to 41 with 1:31 remaining Utah drove down for what seemed to be the "game winning score" with 32 seconds left, but 2 penalties and a 25 yard TD grab by NM #88 with 8 seconds left sealed it for the Wildcats. Utah travels to Wy next for hopefully they can at least keep it with in 30, Who ever decided on this ball as league ball needs to be drug tested as well as bank account tested for bribery payments from manufacturer of game balls, not only are they extremely cheap, ice has more grip then most of them.

Your dead on about the ball comments. They are the worst i've ever seen. Cosmetically nice, but the quality, well, there is no quality.

You know...I'm not from Albuquerque, but about an hour west. I do a lot of sports in Albuquerque...college, the Topes, I'm a season ticket holder for the NBDL team here as well. I didn't even know this team was around until a few weeks ago when they made an "appearence" at a Thunderbirds game. It was a quick announcement, but I guess that counts. The af2 team gets more press than this team. A couple thoughts... People of Albuquerque know that Brian Urlacher is part owner of the future af2 team. Anyone from New Mexico that knows who Urlacher is knows that he played for Lovington High School. Their team name? The Wildcats... As soon as they made the announcement that a new arena team was in the stands and was named the "Wildcats," everyone started assuming that this was Urlachers doings...I think they are going for some cheap publicity off his name...thats a personal opinion. Secondly...the team gets NO press around here. One paper was already listed...another is www.abqjournal.comThe only press I've seen on the team is the one about the investigation on it... Other than that, I plan on going to see a game or two...tickets seem a little steep, but it sounds like fun...I'll be here to join in the convo's with you all

thanks for supporting abie10 and posting please post any info on this team that you can find!
don't give up on your paper just yet. stick your neck out and demand they give you some coverage. It might get a few of them mad but I'll bet the wildcats start seeing more press

Utah will make it they are a volunteer team practicing once or twice a week. If the ownership cared or pushed for the team as much as the players are giving up this could be huge.
