aifaprofootball.com/3 QBs AMONG RECENT ADRENALINE SIGNINGS; TEAM TO HOLD TRYOUT JAN. 12 IN SAN DIEGO PRESCOTT VALLEY, ARIZ. (DEC. 27, 2007) – The Arizona Adrenaline boosted its number of signed players to 35 recently, including three quarterbacks – Tommy Ziegler, Earl Vercher and Lemul Adams. Ziegler was an All-State quarterback at Phoenix’s Moon Valley High School in 2000 and ’01, while Vercher played collegiately at Tulane and Adams played for Adrenaline head coach Andrew Moore in the National Indoor Football League (NIFL) in 2005. Other notable signings included Josh Keep, a 6-feet-8-inch, 290-pound defensive lineman who has AFL1 experience, and nose guard Toqua-Hanai Ticeaheie, a 6-1, 320-pound Native American from Los Angeles. The team can invite 55 players to camp, which begins in mid-February. The Adrenaline also announced that they will hold a tryout Jan. 12 at Torrey Pines High School in San Diego. The tryout fee is $70 and will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Players are asked to bring their own cleats, workout shirt and shorts. Adrenaline season tickets are currently on sale by calling 866-443-8849, or online at www.gettix.net.

Interesting. The Adrenaline signed a QB (Tommy Ziegler) that is also playing for the Tri City Titals of the Copper Football League in Arizona. (see roster below by clicking link) www.tricitytitansfootball.com/tct_football_003.htmQuestion is did the Adrenaline sign him, or just invite him to camp? It's sorta funny that the Adrenaline are going after players who are on a team owned by the recently resigned GM, Jim Shipp. Something else that makes a person go...hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!! ____________________________ *ADDED 1/16/2008 Now a recent article in the local paper for Prescott AZ says that Tommy Ziegler is the Offensive Coordinator for the Tri City Titans of the Copper Football League (as well as quarterback). Now I'm getting really confused as to what is going on in Arizona.

The Tri City Titans are semi-pro (which means they don't get paid, DUH!), which means a guy can sign with anyone he wants while playing semi-pro. There is also no rule against him playing with both the Titans and the Adrenaline, whose seasons do not overlap. I have no idea if Tommy is going to play with the Adrenaline, but he could, so forget your stupid conspiracy theories and learn how this stuff works!!!!

I do know how it works. When the term sign is used...it refers to signing a contract. What type of contract is vague. It could be a simple contract and insurance waiver to try out, or it could mean an actual contract and a guarantee to be on the team.
I think moreso the writer for the paper should use caution when writing and having this crap published.
In regards to Tommy playing for the Adrenaline....I highly doubt it.
As far as the last two forums regarding players who signed. None of them are on the current roster.....so they must not be good enough for Mr Moore and his ego.
Kinda funny that Andrew would show up at a public function and think his status as a coach is a guarantee that he is due FREE stuff......lol.

No contract in any sport is a "guarantee to be on the team" as you put it. Most NFL contracts aren't even a "guarantee to get paid," except for signing bonuses. Obviously there are no bonuses in the minors, so a player signing basically means he's invited to camp. Nothing more, nothing less. If he wants to go elsewhere, there is nothing stopping him. As for your attacks on Coach Moore ... once things start getting personal, I get out of the way, so this is my last hurrah.
