Part of the problem in Augusta is this unlike most cities in this league Augusta has historically drawn very poor attendance from the city. Augusta is part of the CSRA a group of citys, towns that are within very little driving disance of Augusta but seem to support events in Augusta much better. I hate to see ths but its been this way for years. So good job on the name change.

One of the main reason the MudCats are "Mississippi" and not "Tupelo" is because of the draw from surrounding communitys. Tupelo is a fairly small town, less that 50,000. But there are a lot of good size towns that make up the metro of "North Mississippi." The idea is to make the entire area feel like is is "our team" not "that team over in Tupelo." Whether or not the idea is valid is debatable.
