With all the that Mr. Wolf does in emails to league owners and posts on this site. We will refrain from calling this former team the Baltimore BlackBirds(last time I type that). Apparently, Mr. Wolf wants to distance himself and "that team" from ever being associated with the AIFA. Well, your logos are gone from our board. But, this whole thread and posts are staying. This is a way that will preserve AIFA/AIFL history. If you don't like it. Don't view it. Don't post on it. Don't bother to come on it.

Well, I guess you told me. It's funny how anyone who voices dissent, quickly becomes a whiner. Like I said, still have lots of friends in the league and wish them well. Funny thing is, I really don't recall bashing the league and I was a welcome guest on this forum until I stated don't bash the Birds on the site, if you don't want me stating truths about the league and its operation. I also have not had any contact with the league ownership since the championship weekend, so I am not sure what you are referring to. I tried to defend the Blackbirds, when I thought our name was being muddied, but other that, no problems here. It is your board, so you have a right to police it, etc.
I also don't recall asking you to remove the Blackbirds logo. I appreciate the Blackbirds still being on the site. I am a history buff and believe it should be preserved as is. The Blackbirds were a part of the AIFA in 2007 and you can't change that. I did ask that the Blackbirds logo be removed from the Mariners site, and actually got grief for that.
I also think that this should be a forum for all opinions. Anyone that squashes alternate points of view, can never learn to improve. Unfortunately I got dragged into some things here, but ask the fans of Baltimore what type of operation I ran and I think you will get mostly positive comments. Good luck to Bernie, Chris, Joe, James, and some others I will still root for, but unfortunatey there are some who follow blindly and do the league and its fans a disservice.

I will agree with John on this. He did an amazing job on the operations of the Blackbirds. It was because of his work that I got my first exposure to the world of indoor football. I do not pretend to know everything that went down as a bulk of it is not my business. I hope the Blackbirds find a home and league. They are still my hometown team. Hey, who says you can't have more than one.
By the way Joe... I believe the name of this thread should be "Team FORMERLY Known as" I went to the games. No one was wearing tuxedos. Alexander Austin came close a few times though.

All sides to a story are posted on this site. Good or bad. There hasn't been any bashing of "that team" since it's departure.

In the end, I will just say, Joe, it is fans like you that will make the AIFA a success. I appreciate your passion for the league. Also, Dave, now known as Captain SissySkirt (not sure what happened there big guy!) was our #1 fan and we recognized him as such by having him do the coin toss at our Fan Appreciation Night. All and all, it has been a pretty emotional summer. I put a lot into the Blackbirds and do take things personally. If I didn't I wouldn't care so much. We do have some things in the works. Unfortunately they take time. I am hopeful we can announce things soon. Funny thing is Joe, I was a big fan of the Freeze, from afar, long before the Blackbirds. I have always been a helmet geek, and loved the Freeze logo and colors, so I adopted them as my indoor team until Baltimore got one. As a Baltimore fan, there is no other way to describe it, other then I am sad, that the Blackbirds will not be playing in Baltimore this year, but we made the decisions we made, as did the league, and everyone moves on. So good luck and good luck with the site. I will still continue to check in because I really love a lot of the teams and people involved here.
