Youth Football Camp July 25-27
The Baltimore Blackbirds will be hosting a first of its kind Indoor Football and Football Skills Camp on July 25th through July 27th at the Soccer Dome in Jessup, Maryland.
The Camp will be directed by Baltimore Blackbirds Head Coach Chris Simpson, Marques Ogden of the Tennessee Titans, and other members of the Blackbirds staff and roster. The three-day camp, which will run from 8 AM to 4 PM daily, will cover the intricacies of indoor football formations, positions, and strategy, as well as football skills, which will help players succeed whether playing indoor football or outdoor.
"Indoor football is one of the fastest growing sports in the country and to the best of our knowledge this is the first multi-day indoor football camp in the county for young players. We think this is an exciting opportunity for players in the Baltimore area," said Baltimore Blackbirds General Manager John Wolfe.
The cost of the camp is $150 for individuals or $125 for teams of 10 or more. Registration includes the three-day camp, Official Camp T-Shirt, Lunch, Ticket Voucher for free admission to the 2008 Home Opener!

Cancellation/Refund Policy
Any cancellations must take place 20 days before camp. If you do need to cancel, you will receive either a) a credit toward a future camp, b) a refund minus a $25 administrative fee, or 3) your payment may be transferred to another camper. There will be no refund for any cancellations that are not 20 days in advance. You may still receive a credit for a future camp or transfer your payment to another camper. Refunds will be processed beginning on July 28th.

What to Wear
- Athletic Shorts
- T-Shirt
- Turf Shoes or Tennis Shoes (no cleats allowed)
- Athletic Socks
- Helmet (optional if provided by your team)
Note: Players will not be wearing equipment. They will be practicing in shorts, shoes, and t-shirts
Lunch
Each day campers will be able to choose between a hot dog, pizza, cheeseburger, hambuger, or chicken tenders, and chips and koolaid.
Campers will also be provided with water throughout the day.
Additional food is available for purchase from the Soccer Dome Snack stand, as well as Gatorade.

The Camp Staff includes:
Chris Simpson
Chris is the head coach of the Baltimore Blackbirds Pro Indoor Football Team, which calls 1st Mariner Arena home. After a successful high school playing career at Orofino High School in Orofino, Idaho where he earned First Team All American, All State and All Conference Honors at Defensive Back, Chris played defensive back for the University of Arizona for the next four years. After his collegiate career, Simpson signed as a free-agent Defensive Back for the Dallas Cowboys. Once his stint with the Cowboys was over, Simpson entered the realms of coaching.
Simpson coached at the High School Level for six (6) years before branching out to the professional ranks. He has coaching experience in the Arena Football League, Canadian Football League, National Indoor Football League, as well as stints in other regional leagues. He has experience as a team owner, General Manager, Head Coach,a nd Coordinators.
Marques Ogden
Marques recently signed as an offensive lineman with the Tennessee Titans after coaching with the Baltimore Blackbirds as their OL/DL Coach. Ogden, who is originally from Washington D.C. attended St. Johns College High School in Northwest D.C. He attended Howard University from 1998-2003. After being a freshman redshirt, Ogden was a four-year starter as an offensive lineman. Following a successful college career, in which he was a two-time All-Conference and two-time All-American performer, he was drafted in the 6th round of the NFL Draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars. He has spent four years in the NFL with the Jaguars, Buffalo Bills, and Baltimore Ravens. Following the untimely and sudden death of his father, Ogden sat-out the 2006 season.
