Blackbirds Select Official Training Facility
The Baltimore Blackbirds announced today that Maryland Sportsplex in Millersville, Maryland will be the Official Training Facility for the team's inaugural season. "We were attracted by the Sportsplex's great facilities and its perfect location, along I-97, which is convenient for our players from the Baltimore and D.C. areas," stated Blackbirds General Manager John Wolfe.
The Blackbirds will conduct workouts at the Sportsplex, which will be open to the public, as well as team meetings. The Maryland Sportsplex, which is located at 1031 Benfield Boulevard, Millersville, Maryland 21108, provides facilities for a number of sports including Basketball, Futsal Soccer, Indoor Field Hockey, Indoor Lacrosse, and Volleyball.
The Blackbirds practice schedule is posted on their web site. Please note, some practices will be held at other facilities when planning a visit. Also, please check to see if practices are open to the public or for changes in schedule.
