Since I am a new follower of the league and the Blackbirds, how dfficult is it for a team to survive (financially) in an innaugural season playing pretty much in a road-team capacity?

Pretty hard. In past cases, they dissolved. Pay for bus, equipt, etc. And no income coming in from non home games.

Well, for their sake, I hope they have a financial genius in the front office. There is going to be a lot of "robbing peter to pay paul" going on. Like I said in a different thread, I will be doing my part to support 'em.
