(Tupelo, MS) - The Mississippi MudCats of the American Indoor Football Association announced that two of their veteran leaders are retuning for the upcoming 2008 season.
William Stewart (6'-305) a Pontotoc, MS native; is a returning Offensive Lineman for the MudCats. Stewart played collegiate football at Mississippi Valley University, where he was a four year starter. He was also a 2007 AIFA All Star player last season while playing for the MudCats. He is an Offensive Line Coach for the current reigning State Champion South Panola High School Football Team. This will be his second season with the Mississippi MudCats.
Antonio Peoples (6' 2" - 320) a Vicksburg, MS native; is a returning Defensive Lineman for the MudCats. Peoples played collegiate football at Northwestern Oklahoma State University and currently lives in Tupelo. This will be his second season playing with the Mississippi MudCats. "We are thrilled to have such a true anchor on our Defensive Line," said Head Coach Brian Brents.
Co-Offensive Coordinator / Player Personnel Coach, Kirk Brossard said, "We are extremely excited to re-sign both William and Antonio for our upcoming 2008 season, these two guys provided us with veteran leadership in the 2007 season."
