MudCats re-sign Bingham and pick up Clark
(Tupelo, MS) - The Mississippi MudCats of the AIFA announced that DB/LB and Vicksburg, Mississippi native Eric Bingham has re-signed with the team for the upcoming 2008 season.
Bingham (6'3"-230) is a former 2 time NIFL All Star and attended Hinds Community College where he was a member of the 1997 Undefeated National State Championship Team, winning two State Titles in 1996 and 1997. He also played Collegiate Football at Belhaven College in Jackson, Mississippi in 1999 where he accumulated over 1,200 yards with four touchdowns and was voted the teams most Versatile Player and made the Mid-South All Conference Team. He will be entering his fourth Professional Indoor Football season and his second season with the Mississippi MudCats.
Bingham currently lives in Tupelo and is an Educator in the Lee County School System and has a three year old son named Jackson.
Head coach Brian Brents said, "Eric was plagued by the injury bug last season and I'm excited to get him back this season, because he's one heck of a player."
The Mississippi MudCats of the AIFA announced that Defensive End and Starkville, Mississippi native Jason Clark has signed with the team for the upcoming 2008 season.
Clark (6'3"-265) is a former 2005 AIFL All Star and played collegiate football for four years at Mississippi State University, where he was an All SEC LB and led the Bulldogs in tackles his Junior and Senior years. He is entering his third Professional Indoor Football season after playing two seasons with the Florence Phantoms.
Co-Offensive Coordinator/Player Personnel Coach, Kirk Brossard said, "Jason is a tremendous addition in our off season and he brings experience and great pass rushing ability to the Defensive Line.
