From www.mississippimudcats.comICC football adds assistant coach - (8/2/2007) Itawamba Community College’s football staff grew today. Indians head coach Jeff Terrill announced that Kirk Broussard has been added to his coaching staff. Broussard was an assistant coach and pro player personnel director for the Mississippi Mudcats this past season. He will continue to coach the indoor pro football team based in Tupelo in the spring and now the Pensacola, Florida native will coach the running backs at ICC in the fall. “I’m really looking forward to helping out the Indians this year,” said Broussard, who also coached for the Lakeland Thunderbolts in 2006 in the National Indoor Football League. “Coach (Jeff) Terrill and his program have been on the rise the last couple years and I want to help them turn it up another notch this year.” Itawamba has finished the season ranked among the nation’s top 20 the last two seasons. No one in the north division can match that and only Pearl River, who is the pre-season number one ranked team in the country, and Gulf Coast have accomplished that feat inside the Magnolia State. “Kirk is a great guy and he’ll definitely help us out,” said Terrill, whose program has won 17 of its last 20 regular season games. “He’ll have a nice stable of running backs to coach this fall.” Terrill and his staff welcome their entire team this Sunday at two o’clock.
