Well, I hear there are many good things in the works for the MudCats- a green & gold club for fans, corporate boxes, and the possibility of selling part of the team to the community --- I think it's a great idea and I'd love to own part of the team. I say "go waide" - "how much do I make the check out for?"
Tupelo has the Arena - the hospitality - the team - the coaching staff and a great owner/leader----- and I think we can have the STRONGEST FAN CLUB IN THE REGION. I'm ready to join the booster club and am looking forward to road trips.
I hope we can have healthy competition and southern hospitality all rolled into one fabulous AIFA league.

Erie has the strongest fan base no doubt. Even though we only one 1 game we are still the best team, we still have the best fans and we have the best city. WE WILL BE CHAMPS IN 08!

Erie has the strongest fan base no doubt. Ahem. I can and will dispute that claim. You have one of the biggest fan bases in the North ... all eight of you (slow coma doesn't count). It was nice going up there for the Legends game last year and knowing all the fans by name. Very enjoyable. You are aware that more than just Danville is on these boards right? How in the Erie Blue Hell can you figure that with one lonely win you still have the best team? Best fans ... Scoopgay and Jerry Springer. I'll give you credit for Joe, Scooter and Fridge, but c'mon now. Maybe the best city can get you something other than crepe paper to call turf. Champs of what? Oh yeah, that's right. An Erie fan did win the pick 'em didn't they.

*********scratches head************ Looks like I opened up a can of whooopass.... Sorry they came down on you so hard Joe! I think we are all going to have a strong fan base in 08. Anyone know where we can get a costume? I don't think they had one last year ---who do you know that can make a mudcat? We need a mascot.

<<looks left, then right.....>> Me? dye my hair green? "what hair"... lol..... are you calling me a "bottom dwelling, scum sucker?" *rolls up sleeves" .... *spits on fists*.....
Seriously, I'm wondering how they are going to make a catfish out of fur. Most of the mascots have some sort of fur....
none the less--- we need a mascot that won't scare children.
*big sigh*

So you saw the mascot that never made it's debut? That was the worst thing I have ever seen. They saw a catfish on a really bad tv commercial for a fish place, called them, found out who made the costume, and commisioned them for a copy. It was scary!

scary is a compliment for what I saw ---- may it RIP.
Hopefully it wasn't transfered with ownership (gahhhhhh)
we need a real mascot - not a swamp monster (still laughing)

Dress up like a hillbilly, with spenders, fishing pole, pail, and wad of chew. Or treat it like church going Sunday apparel. j/k

Joe --- if I can find a photo of the original mascot --- i'll post it. I'm not sure if anyone ever took a shot of it (((( many wanted to take a shot 'at' it)))). Let me give you a visual of "the fish" ---
foam spray paint hot glue tenticals (instead of whiskers --- not sure about the spelling) holes cut with a steak knife bottom dwelling, skum sucker
basically, granny on the hood of a car in a rocking chair with a dip and a fishing pole would have been appealing now that you mention it.
****hangs head in shame****
howeva - it's a new day, a new team, a new owner and ....
(Please God) - a new fish.
