Here's an article that was in the Daily Journal this morning. It says that if the Thunderbolts lose to the Bears the Mudcats will be in first place. If the Thunderbolts beat the Bears then we will be in second. Is this right?www.djournal.com/pages/story.asp?ID=244063&pub=1&div=Sports :smileymudcats: :smileymudcats: :smileymudcats:

I don't think so. BUT I am tired of trying to figure it out. I will wait til June 10th and see what team shows up to play.

LOL-same here! Personally I hope the Speed come for two reasons. 1. It means we won the division. 2. I dont have to listen to the Titan fans whine about the refs. :smileymudcats: :smileymudcats: :smileymudcats:

if you live in tally there are 2 phrases you must know 1. waaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh they must have cheated since we didnt win and 2. waaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh the refs are mean to us.

I was told that this would actually help us out. It would put the Mudcats in first and the Titans in second. I don't understand how this is possible but go Bears. It would be nice to know exactly what the format is for a tie breaker. I've heard head to head points and total season points. Anyone have any clue?

I don't know about the tie-breaker but like you I say GO BEARS!!! For once Titan and Mudcats fans have something to agree on!

I think the whole discussion is moot. I figured up last week that (assuming the Balt. and GC games do not count inthe standing) if Lakeland loses to Mont. that makes a 3 way tie at the top with records of 9 and 3. Miss. holds the tie breaker over Tally and Lakeland holds the tie breaker over Miss. So that leaves Lakeland on top. Of course I have been wrong before. Just ask my wife!

Again thats assuming the Gulf Coast and Baltimore games dont count. The last time anything was said about that was way back in Febuary. Who knows it might of changed along with the playoff format. Afterall that was just games wasted if it doesnt count. :smileymudcats: :smileymudcats: :smileymudcats:

I was informed to wait to make plans for the Miss trip. I wish the league would step in and explain the situation. It is unfair to whoever is hosting to wait till the last minute. The second seed has to pay for the 3rd seed hotel and salary for the game. Again this is just second hand information but it would be nice to now who is hosting so some advertising can take place.

According to the article on Lakeland's website it is true. The league called Lakeland earlier in the week to let them know that they have to win this game to win the conference.

Does anybody know the final score of the Lakeland-Montgomery game played Saturday night (June 2)?
Neither paper in either town seemed to know.
