Rumor is going around the playoff games might be moved to Southaven. I say if we are going to play in Memphis do it right and go to the Fedex or the The Pyramid. But getting 20,000 fans might be a bit hard  |

I cannot believe they are considering moving a playoff game. I bet it is over some stupid thing like a circus or ice show. All these years waiting for a playoff game and it may be out of town. I am not happy. Come on BCS Arena move something so we can play a real home game.

But if they did do it. Southaven if the obvious spot. I got the impression the owners/managers of BCS Arena and Desoto are buddy buddy. We are using the Memphis xplorors field, and have an ad for the Memphis riverkings which is in the Desoto Civic Center but it would suck driving 90 miles for a home game for a very small improvement in stadium. Maybe they still have the AFL nets  |

Screw the circus. The playoff games better be in Tupelo Mississippi and not Southhaven Mississippi. Reschedule the circus or something. If I have to I will contact the BancorpSouth Arena myself because I am not happy about this.

Just had another thought. 4,000 people may go to a circus. 7,000 people may go to a playoff game. The BancorpSouth Arena needs some sense nocked into them.

Guys, I just looked at WTVA news. I noticed that it is official. The playoff games are going to be played in Southaven. I can not express my frustration. As Catfish said we have been waiting for a playoff game for so many years and now they take if from us. I don't know about you guys but drinving 90 miles to a home game is just plain stupid!

All you have to do is lose all the rest of your game and not make the playoffs then you wouldn't have to go 90 miles to see it (just kidding ) that sucks they must not of thought the team was going to be that good or they planed to do this from the beginning

yes the circus sucks. BUT the arena nade the choice that they felt they needed to make. With the circus they have a guarenteed 5 or 6 shows to sell tickets for. They will draw a lot more than 4000 total. Probably more like 12,000 to 15,000 or more. There is NO guarantee that the MudCats will have a home playoff game. I know the team is undefeated, BUT things could change and the arena has a guaranteed BIG pay day instead of a probable average pay day. Right now I am getting ready to go the DeSoto County for a HUGE game in June! (oh, and packing to leave for Carlolina late late tonight.

It sucks, but at least you're not playing the game at the venue of the opposing team. That's what would really suck. Considering you're the "Mississippi" MudCats, instead of just Tupelo, you may actually get some inquisitive locals, and die-hard Xplorers fans who are without any type of indoor football to try it out. Who knows, you may wind up with some long-distance fans driving down US78 for games next season.
