This may be a tough test. The Speed have been winnig some games, and this is a short week for the Mudcats. Game on Monday and again on Saturday takes alot out of a team. I think they will win, because I believe their overall talent will carry them through. I noticed from the article on OSC the Carolina Owner/Coach was with his other team in Montgomery, probably to scout the Mudcats. Good luck. The Speed better bring their best game.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – It was another perfect night for the Mississippi MudCats.
Playing for just the second time on the road this season, the MudCats improved to 8-0 with Monday night’s 62-37 indoor football victory against the winless Montgomery Bears (0-5).
MudCats’ quarterback Tommy Jones threw for five touchdowns and ran for two more, but it was the effort on defense that was crucial, forcing key turnovers and limiting the home team to 64 yards total offense.
Mississippi converted three first-half turnovers into touchdowns to take control of the game before the break.
Linebacker Derrick White returned one interception 30 yards for a touchdown and set up another MudCats’ TD with a 35-yard return.
Naton Stewart scooped up a fumble by Bears’ quarterback Tavon Green and returned it for another defensive TD, helping the MudCats to a 41-17 halftime advantage.
Mississippi topped the 60-point mark on offense for the fifth consecutive game. The MudCats have outscored their foes 498-273 through eight games.
For the second consecutive game, Montgomery’s starting quarterback ran into anger-management issues.
Former UAB signal-caller Jeff Aaron, who was ejected from the previous home game after allegedly spitting on an opposing player, was flagged for an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty in the first period Monday.
He didn’t return to action and Green took over at QB.
Green completed just 2-of-12 passes but ran for three touchdowns.
The road takes Mississippi – the only remaining unbeaten team in the American Indoor Football Association – to Concord, N.C. on Saturday to play the Carolina Speed.
The MudCats return home April 14 for a rematch with the Tallahassee Titans, The teams met March 10 in Florida and Mississippi escaped with a 62-58 victory – the team’s only close call all season.
