I really like the new turf. I we really did need it. 2 very slight problems. The Memphis Xplorers logo in the endzones and the Arena football logo in the center. Can we say oops :smileymudcats: Atleast they have the same team colors.

I know Keith. I hope one day we can get our own fied with that Catfish in the endzones. That would be awesome.

From what I have read on other league boards, this situation of using (leasing?) other teams turf is rampant.

Yes. Put the Mudcats logo somewhere. I walked into the stands and the first thing I saw was the Arena Football logo and I thought. Did we really jump up that much in the game of Indoor football? Then I saw the Memphis Xplorers logo in the inzone and said Oh. :smileymudcats: :smileymudcats: :smileymudcats:

I would like to see us play an Arena or an Arena 2 team to see where we really are. I think we can hold very well with an Arena 2 team but an arena team I really want to know.

The AFL would never allow a member team to play an exhibition against any non-league team. Why? Because the AFL teams would never stoop to playing a secondary league team (even AF2, except for maybe a scrimmage of sorts back when both had similar schedules), and the AF2 owns all the AF2 teams, the team 'owners' simply operate the franchise. The AF2 would disallow any team from playing an exhibition game.
On top of that, the AF2 would only allow an exhibition game to be played at a venue of one of their team's homes, rather than at another team in another league. Insurance, contracts, etc. Including the issue with the 'nets.
Plus, and this is the final word, is that the AFL or AF2 has nothing to gain by beating an indoor team, and everything to lose if they don't win. Just for that it will never happen.
I'd be curious to see an IFL/WIFL/AIFA type of post season title game that may be able to be worked out. Maybe a home-and-away setup between two champs from two of the leagues.

I hate to agree with you. Nothing to win. They don't consider the other leagues "real football" so why give them a reason to think that. I think the IFL/WIFL/AIFA is somewhat realistic if the right person pulls the right strings.

Kind of a Grand Slam of Indoor Football. I think that would be a great indoor football weekend. Although I am not going to hold my breath.
