Montgomery Bears to hold second open tryout
11/28/06 - American Indoor Football Association (AIFA) Montgomery Bears
The Montgomery Bears professional indoor football team will hold it's second open tryout December 2, 2006, 8am, at Lee High School. This will be the Bears second tryout in team history.
The Bears, a first-year team in the American Indoor Football Association for the 2007 season looks to compete immediately. "We are looking for players that want to compete and excel at the game of football." says owner/GM, John Morris.
The Bears tryout combine will consist of a 40 yard dash, L. Drill, 20 yard shuttle, skill testing, and individual position drills. Players are encouraged to bring their resume, game film, and proper athletic attire (outdoor cleats/tennis shoes a must/no rainouts). Registration starts Saturday, December 2nd at 8am. Their will be a $50 tryout fee (Cash or money order only).
"If you want to play pro football, this is your chance. Not may times do you get a second chance." says Owner/Director of Football Operations, Michael Mink. The AIFA's goal is to send as many players as possible to the NFL, AFL, CFL, and NFL Europe. "The AIFA goal is to advance players to the next level. We don't restrict our players." says Mink.
The Montgomery Bears are coming to the greater Montgomery area. The Montgomery Bears are looking forward to entertaining the local community and supporting local businesses. This is the second step in their goals towards winning the AIFA championship.
