Titans Will Not Be in AIFA in 2008
08/12/07 - American Indoor Football Association (AIFA) Tallahassee Titans
Tampa, Fl. - The American Indoor Football Association (AIFA) After several discussions with owner Dave Morris of the Tallahassee Titans, it has been decided that the Tallahassee Titans will not be in the AIFA in 2008. The AIFA would like to thank the Tallahassee Titans organization and players for their season in 2007. We would also like to thank the fans of the Titans for their support of the team and the AIFA.
The Titans came into the League in October 2007 from the AIFL and made the playoffs in there first season, only to lose to the Mississippi Mudcats in the first round. Michael Mink, Co-Owner of the AIFA, said," We will miss the great fans of Tallahassee and there passion that they displayed at all the Titan home games last season." AIFA was impressed with the attendance and the professionalism of the Civic Center Staff during the 2007 season.
The AIFA completed its first season in 2007 with its charter members consisting of teams from 3 other indoor leagues and expansion teams. The League is currently making decisive changes to strengthen itself for the 2008 season. John Morris, Co -Owner of the AIFA, said,"We wish the Titans the best and we are working hard to make the right decisions to make our league a great place to play in 2008." The AIFA will be addressing New ownership changes and expansion plans for 2008 season early this week.
Today, AIFA teams are located in 10 states across the north and south United States. The league just completed it's first season in 2007 and Enjoyed every game played. The AIFA All-Star and Championship game was broadcast nationally to over 40 million viewers. The Lakeland (Florida) are the league's defending champions.
