Okay I see. Thankfully most of our "key" players are from around here. There are a few exceptions like Thomas Jones but if he goes anywhere it will be to the Arena League or the NFL. If anyone leaves I dont think I will to much about it. LOL

thats funny from listening to the game it sounds more like the refs were being paid by tally when we were down there. we should have kicked your butts more but with all the penalties called on us it saved you at least 30 points. maybe you should just man up and face the facts that you cant hang with the cats at home much less when you have to come to the pond!

Boy this thread has gone to shreads hasnt it, and I have a feeling its not over. One roast right after another. However, it is sorta funny to see all of these things people are saying about the Mudcats that are just and No offense but really come on. :smileymudcats: :smileymudcats: :smileymudcats:

I've got to step in and add my two cents to this: When the MudCats came to Tallahassee, the game that was played by the MudCats was the single dirtiest game that I have ever seen. Period. Between Mr. Shoe and all of the other Unsportsmanlike Conduct penalties that were rightfully charged to the Mudcats, all I could discuss was how dirty Mississippi seemed to be. And from the interactions that I had with the Mississippi fans towards the end of the game while I was still doing my job on the air, I must say that it was one dirty performance and a huge blemish on the reputation of the Mudcats, the city of Tupelo, and the state of Mississippi. The team played dirty and the fans were EXTREMELY rude (screaming and swearing at me and my broadcast partner and even crossing the rope barricade to yell at us while we were LIVE on the air).
I'm sure that this may have been an isolated incident, but it is all that I have to go off of.
As for the game in Tupelo, I'm not about to go making excuses, but just remember for the Playoff game that, last time in Tupelo, the Titans were short Patrick Harrington. Expect an "I told you so" when #3 lights up the scoreboard and blows past your secondary.
I'm excited for this game, and I'm sure it'll be great. As good as Lakeland is, I'd say that the winner of this game goes on to represent the South in the Championship Game.

I have been to every game in Tupelo and all but the last 2 road games. The refs across the league seem to be less than average. I have to say the refs in Tupelo are pretty good. NOT PERFECT! But they seem to call it pretty close. The refs in Tally were horrible. From what I understand, they were either suspended or fired after the game. (I could have misunderstood what I heard) After having a very nice conversation with a person with the Titans organization, they felt the refs called that game (in tallahassee) very close. I read earlier in this thread (written by a Tally fan) that the Cats refs were horrible. I think it all comes down to perspective. I know the person I spoke with had a major problem with someone high up in the MuCats organization. The bottom line is that the refs in the AIFA are not really that good and were not trained very well. It's a tough job and if they stay with the league, they will get better.
