Why would it be or . The way the Phantoms have been playing lately, having a fan call the plays couldn't hurt the team. Let'em have a little fun.

On a related note (so we can stay on topic), when the Oakland Raiders had a head coaching vacancy last year and no body wanted it, a friend who is a die hard Radiers fan, decided to apply. We were talking and said "hey no one wants this job, why couldn't a fan take it, the worst they can do is say no." While his only coaching experience was at the Pee Wee level, it didn't stop us from writing a page and a half letter to Al Davis explaining his coaching philosphy of "throwing deep and throwing often" or explaining his Raider values and being a part of the Raider family was high on his list employable assets. While he never got a reply back from Al, we think his letter is why Al called up Art Shell. "Art...Al Davis here....listen it's gotten so bad here that NOBODY wants to coach us. The only person that does is some crazy fan from South Carolina. Please come back and help out Raider Nation before I really consider this guy." The same friend was going to apply this year but Al must have thought back to last season when he applied and thought he better fill the spot quick or the same crazed fan would send another letter. We were in the process of drafting the letter when he filled the job.

Anybody know if this is a contest, or something that has to be purchased?
