Dougherty shines in Blue-Gold By Bob Ferrante
Ben Dougherty was accurate but at times indecisive, leading the Tallahassee Titans' first-team offense to four touchdowns in Friday night's Blue & Gold Game at the Plantation Parkway Sports Complex at Beachton, Ga.
No official scoring or statistics were kept for the indoor-football game, but Dougherty completed his first six passes. “I thought it went well tonight,” said Dougherty, a former Florida A&M standout. “But we have a lot to go back and correct. This isn't going to cut it in the league.”
ADVERTISEMENT The intrasquad game marked the end of a two-week training camp for the Titans, and coach Keven Jackson must now cut the roster from 40 players to 30 on Monday. The Titans open their inaugural season on Feb. 12 at North Carolina and host Gulf Coast in the home opener on Feb. 17 at the Civic Center.
