Prolly should have included this, so people outside of Florida A&M know who the hell Ben Dougherty is:
TALLAHASSEE, FL- The Tallahassee Titans have announced the signing of their first two players for the 2007 season. Ben Dougherty and Brandon McDowell were announced in front of a fan filled audience at Hooters of Tallahassee. Dougherty, a two year starting QB for the Florida A&M Rattlers from 2003-‘04, looks to take the helm for the Titans inaugural season. “I’m very excited to be a part of the Titans organization. I’ve had several opportunities with other teams through the US, including a short stink in Canada, but to be able to stay in Tallahassee with my wife and newborn daughter means a lot to me,” said Dougherty during the conference.
During his tenure at FAMU, Ben passed for 5,231 yards, good for forth all time in school history. He completed 477-764 passes, which still holds as a FAMU record for career completion percentage (62.4). Demonstrating his athletic ability, Ben also rushed for over 1,000 yards and 14 touchdowns over his two seasons. In 2005, Ben was invited to the NFL combine in Indianapolis where he walked out as the 12th ranked QB in the 2005 NFL draft. At 6’4, 220lbs, Ben is the prototypical size for a pro quarterback. “We are very excited to have Ben as a member of the Titans organization,” said Josh Stagner, Vice President of Operations for the Titans, “Ben has demonstrated not only the talent and ability to play at this level, but also brings the intangibles that are so important for a QB to have.”

I think this was kinda like that guy the Freeze signed, that dissed you guys when signed with an AFL team, then the Steelers, and is now out of work again. The guy was hedging his bets but looks like if he's getting a whif from the Jags he didn't belong down here.

JJ is still on the Practice squad I think, a hell of a lot more than what he'd make with the Freeze.

Titan's Ben Dougherty is a class act. After the Speed game tonight, I just wanted to congratulate him on his stint with the Jaguars and he ended up giving me a game ball and signing it, despite me having a Speed shirt on! What a guy!
