WHY GENE WHY!?!?!?!?!?!?! What are we supposed to do now......we cant just be Florida Stingrays fans....... Ill tell you what it is........we had 2 owners last season, and for this up-coming season, they were arguing about some things long story short, andy moore i believe is the owner who left, so we had 1 100% owner named bob draper-------and he wanted to have a business partner, so they have been looking for a partner for him for the upcoming seaosn to be co-owners with him, so i guess they couldnt find anyone, and i was told that if they couldnt find anyone then to AIFA Co-Owner Mr. Morris would more than likely buy into the team, but as we can all see, thats not happening, so apparently 2 selfish men are the reason that us great lakeland fans cannot have football and defend our championship in 2008

Thats pretty much what i heard too. Hopefully it can get rectified so you can return in 09.

What are you supposed to do now?
Heck, you have Lakeland High School and Lakeland Lake Gibson -- two of the nation's best high school programs -- to go and watch.

Who's next? This league won't look anything like last year. I have a feeling the bolts aren't the last team to leave.

.......or they could shoot down Daytona and support the Thunder. Oh, thats right, i forgot. The well funded WIFL folded. The only reason you can really be happy the WIFL folded is because it forced Columbus and Augusta to join the AIFA, which is why this offseason isn't looking that bad for the AIFA. If the WIFL hadn't folded, than the AIFA would be stuck with three five-team divisions(assuming the West adds three more) and "gasp" WIFL-like schedules. Anyways, yeah it sucks that Lakeland lost their team. Hopefully they will come back in '09. I'd be willing to take a trip down there to see a game.

I am just ribbing Dan a bit since last season when he told me how "well funded" the WIFL was. I am not happy to see any league fold.

But i'd sure as heck feel better about losing a team than a league.........

I could say how the AIFA has lost more teams than the WIFL, but that'd be mean.
What I will say is that the defending WIFL champion lives to play another game.
That's just the truth.
