THUNDERBOLTS RECEIVE PROCLAMATION

On June 11th the Polk County Board of County Commissioners presented the Lakeland Thunderbolts with a Proclamation declaring July 11th 2007 LAKELAND THUNDERBOLTS DAY. Head Coach Teddy Keaton, General Manager Bennie King and Marketing Director Christina Moore were on hand to receive the declaration.
On July 16th the Thunderbolts will receive another proclamation from the City of Lakeland. The Lakeland Thunderbolts were crowned the 2007 AIFA Champions after defeating the Reading Express 54-49 in Florence South Carolina.

The Lakeland Thunderbolts would like to thank all of our loyal fans and corporate sponsors for their tremendous support this past season. On June 23rd in Florence South Carolina the Thunderbolts defeated the Reading Express 54-49, and were crowned AIFA Champions. This victory brought the first Professional Championship to the city of Lakeland and Polk County. These accomplishments are a true testament to the dedication and support that comes from you our loyal fans. As this season comes to an end we ask that you continuously check our website for updates on the team this off-season. We look forward to next season and continuing our winning partnership as we defend our AIFA Championship
