1 Nov. 2007: The Phantoms have scheduled a tryout date for December 2nd. The Byrnes School will once again be the host site and workouts will begin at 10 a.m. Head coach Carlos Clayton will be reviewing all of the players. For more information contact coach Clayton at [e-mail]

The registration fee is $50 and players are expected to wear cleats and workout clothing. Athletes will run the 40 yard dash, a shuttle run, and lift 225 lbs. as well as various position related drills.

Phantoms Ready To Try Out More Players
11/21/07 - American Indoor Football Association (AIFA) Florence Phantoms


Thirty players came out to show their abilities when the Florence Phantoms held their first work out session on October, and the team is expecting many more on the 1st of December.
"Based on the number of calls and e-mails we have received over the last few weeks, we are anticipating a large number of athletes for this work out session. The more guys we have to look at the better off the team will be in the long run." says General Manager Dennis Smith.

Head coach Carlos Clayton and his staff will oversee the session and they are looking forward to working with the athletes individually. The tryouts are at The Byrnes School and begin at 10 a.m. Players are asked to arrive early enough to register and properly warm up and to wear work out clothing and bring cleats. The cost of the camp is $50.
