I think the arena in Danville is too small to support a team that's paying guys $200+ a game. There just aren't enough seats to justify it (re: River Rats, Pittsburgh). But if there's some sort of pro hybrid league that ever comes together in this part of the country (think APFL), Danville would be a great market to make it work.

danville arena is fine holds 2500 people if u sell out 25,000 plus concessions and beer,but i didnt wanna comment on that.

but aiflfan22 your right cristner isnt a bad guy but he should not be the owner hes a business man thats where his money is in corporate real estate, but he is not a people person, the hotel thing he didnt pay the bill and they were getting sick of the players but for the most part he didnt pay the bill the whole bus incident johnstown came in on 2 vans thats what he wanted us to take , and the bs from the begining with us having no equipment no turf no where to practice that has nuthing to do with coach luke , he got us a practice area the high school, but john is not a bad guy brammer is a big asSS liar he burnt alot of bridges with the town of danville, luke not knowing what he was doing no one knew what they were doing for most the team it was there first time playing indoor but as for u how do you know both sides he was barely in town what about us going to huntington and not practicing for 2 weeks?/? he just needs to sell the team who wants to promote it and make it work not make a quick buck again hes not a bad guy, you wanna know why he started the team becuz when he was a kid he wanted to own a football team so he was a kid and had a dream

You still failed to see that the players Christner released all were ones with D-1 experience.

Maybe if Danville is such a bad town..good 'ol Christner shouldn't of brought a team there. Did he not check out the town before he put the cash on the table for the team?

I just find it down-right funny that someone would defend John Christner. After he's been embarassed on the news, then looked like an idiot because he lied to the news reporter (Christner-lying-NO WAY!!) you think his fanbase would be gone. (Or at least be smart enough to not support him on a message board)

I've been around since before the Demolition even had their first practice, no, their first tryout. I know everyone involved (including you most likely). And I know one thing for sure...You are a true piece of s__t! Coach Luke is a remarkable football coach of the highest integrity. He went over and above (including paying his own assistants because ownership refused him any) to keep this team afloat. I HAVE talked to the hotels. I HAVE talked to the players! I've talked to the people who took the players in when they had no where to go! I've even talked to you if you are who I think you are....and probably have even if you aren't. I live in this town and I'm from this town and I've NEVER owned a crack pipe! Crack?? I just have to think you have to be the one here on the stuff! Coach Luke is a lazy SOB! Thats the bottom line. He could have been given an indoor facility that equals that of the Bears and he still would have not done crap! Most coaches work to better their teams not rely on the office staff to find them better players. He would walk in and walk out like he was some type of God and we should all kiss his feet. He needed to have his bald fat butt fired a long time ago!

I didnt say only one check..only once did checks bounce and he took care of that. They NEVER totaled 16k! Not even close.

What about the hotel..hey call the hotel and ask them. Funny thing, you will hear a completely differently story that you were told by your high school history teacher who could not even snap the ball on shotgun properly 50% of the time. He should have been gone a long time ago. I looked at the roster, not many with D1 experience. A few, but less than most teams at this level. But hey, you know it all because you heard it from your high school history teacher.

He released the players and the coach because he was tired of putting up with there small town mentalities. Your coach is a white trash bald piece of crap who couldnt handle it at this level and never had the guts to admit it.

This team was doomed from the start. Its in a dirty gross disgusting town who would not know something good was happening if it came up and bit them in the butt. The smartest people in that town MOVE OUT after they graduate. I have spent numerous days in that city since last July and can tell you one thing...if you dont have a crack pipe in your back pocket, you must be from out of town. The town never had any business playing host to a pro indoor football team.

Best thing ownership can do is pack up everything and head to a real town in Illinois or Indiana and set up shop.

So, yes it is safe to say after reading your post..that I definately have a better inside track on everything.

Listen......the homework has already been done. The owner was (is) awful. Why is that so hard to understand? If this is supposed to be a "professsional" organization, why is it so difficult to fill an order for your fans? (And then to have the nerve to blame them because they should have come into the office and asked the owner face to face. Most "professional" organizations take care of that kind of thing and it doesn't take the fan coming into the office and meeting with the team owner. I'm sure that Mrs. McCosky has meet with all of those Bears fans out there when they decided to buy an Urlacher jersey.) If the incedents at the hotel never happened then why did the team spend an entire practice moving their stuff out of one hotel and into somewhere else? Why did some of the players stuff get locked into their rooms and held hostage until....oh yea...the owner paid? (are you catching on to the theme?) Why did some players have to agree to wait a few days to get paid? (I thought this was a "professional" organization) ALL OF THESE THINGS DID HAPPEN - Your a fool if you try to say they didn't.

And be careful who you attack. The Lazy SOB and white trash bald headed piece of crap you were talking about is actually a very well respected man in the area and in the state of Illinois. I promise you that a big reason why the team even stayed a team was because of his dedication. The problem the whole time was the owners lack of ability to know what is going on and the front office staff being full of idiots that have no idea what's going on. Which is interesting because you talk about the ignorance in Danville being linked to the demise of the team. However, the only people from Danville (outside of Coach Luke, who has returned to Danville after being quite successful in the Chicago area) were the people in the front office.

Face it, the only talent on the team was the guys released and decided not to come back to the team. (Provided they were given the offer) They were the ones that actually kept the practices moving. If you ever came to a practice you would realize that the semi-pro (or guys still on the team) had no work ethic what so ever. If you watched the coverage of the practice the new coach was holding it looked like a freaking joke.

last post was too long for me to read on a friday....yes danville is in the air as we speak..yes they are flying here....i have been in contact with them all week long and as always i will do the best that i can do to make sure they are treated to the same hospitality that i offer to every team we play at home....by the way the all-star teams are out....i have them on our website and they are on the lg. site already...have a great weekend
