That is good for the Fan Club. And yes you did say that they DO need a week off. If you played any sport at all in your days you know that it is hard to not have any time off. And as far as the fan club, I did care but the same thing happened this year that happened last year. You want help with everything but you want to be the only one in the loop of things and that doesn't work for most of us. You will find some mongrle like Joe found in Scooter and then they can be your little puppy dog that will follow you around and obey every one of your orders but I have more pride in myself and the relationships I have made with the guys on the team that you will never understand. So as far as the fan club good luck and I am glad you are getting support on this and the main reason I think that you are getting more people to sign up is uh maybe 2nd year they guys are tearing it up. And there are more fans coming to the games! So next time you want to stab someone give them the heads up so they can get out of the way. First off. I'm not Hitler with my fanclub. And no one is my puppy dog. It is because of fan clubs in this league that will keep this league intact. Not the neigh-sayers who say they will help and don't. The one's who(pun intended) want to ride on the train without doing a dam thing. If you had one little incling what we do as a fanclub, and behind the scenes above and beyond a fanclub. You would eat your freaken words. So, next time you want to mention myself or Scooter, understand all that we do. Hell, you wouldn't even have this message board without us FAB members. I do have to give kudos to Joe (and the fan club). The fan club does a lot of work for the Freeze... ALL FOR FREE. From prepping the field, to entertaining the visiting teams, to keeping our players happy, etc. etc.... ALL FOR FREE! That's the most important part you have to remember. Most of these guys do this and get nothing in return.

I never thought of scooter as a puppy dog, but I do think that they work real hard at make the fan club work, and they help me pass the time waiting for the game to start.

I just read this off the Danville site: Update on the Danville Demolition There have been a lot of rumors and mis-information floating around. This is to clear it up. The Danville Demoliton is not folding, nor has the ownership changed. We will be finishing our season; we will be here next season and will be in Danville for the foreseeable future. The coaching staff was released. The new head coach is Willie Davis, our previous quarterback. The team was released. Some of the team (about half) will be asked to come back, the rest will be new players. We have a season record of 1-10. We believe we need new ideas. There have also been allegations made about the Demolition front office staff and medial staff. Facts. Practice is monitored by a student athletic trainer. A full-time trainer attends all games. The front office staff is well educated, holding 5 degrees (3 bachelors, marketing, chemistry and sports medicine and 2 masters in sports medicine and sports management) between 3 people. The office staff is part-time. We are available when we can be available. wtf does a chemistry degree have to do with football. Unless you're creating a gatorade type sportdrink. Sorry, but experience trumps education any day of the week. You could have a highschool education and run a team. I have a masters in Computer and Information Science, Bachelors in Management Info Systems along with a minor in management. Am I qualified?

Should I bring you a doggy brisket Friday Scooter But those who have never worked on a fan club got no room to talk, I'd like to get more involved with the Leatherheads but they don't like me something about winning the Best seat in the House so many times wtf does a chemistry degree have to do with football. Nothing unless you mixing steroid coaktails (Who said that) I have a masters in Computer and Information Science, Bachelors in Management Info Systems along with a minor in management. Am I qualified? Nope your under qualified Frdige81 you don't have a chemistry degree ;D

This whole thing has spiraled way out of control. There is basic problem here. The AIFA calls itself a professional organization. The Danville Demolition calls itself a professional franchise. There is one very simple factor. Professionals get paid!
In the players contract it says they are entitled to their payment within 7 days of the previous game. Basically what happened here was payments were hit and miss. Sometimes when they hit they were bad checks. Sometimes players even agreed to wait on payment until the owner could come up with the money to pay them while others who needed right away (because they too were broke) could get paid that night.
In the end, the owner took out a loan and paid off all of the players and coaches the debt he owed them. Next, he released the players and coaches told them he couldn't afford to pay them anymore and then claimed to the media players were released because "they were not able to compete at this level "its time to look to next year".

Yea! So now he's bringing in unpaid "mercenaries" to masquerade as a team and this is "looking to next year" Does this guy think we're all stupid around here? And I'm still wondering who Timmy is....... Timmy! Are you out there? ?

I have heard from a reliable inside source that Danville will be playing in Reading on June 2nd. Could that change, yes, but they are scheduled to be here and have told us they will be. Albeit, with some new players and a coach but they will play.
You Danville fans should just look at this as a bump in the road in a franchises 1st season of play. They can work thru all the negatives and i am optomistic that they will be back next season. The league would be doing itself a favor to expand out that way next season and with some of the other teams that i hear who are inquiring about joining the league next year maybe this will help with their travel expenses.
I would suggest Danville reachout to other teams who have been successful with their marketing and get some pointers. Nobody wants to see them or any other franchise fail.

Sure you guys will play the demolition, but I have a feeling it's going to be the PA Cardinals in Demolition clothing... Might as well give the starters from Reading a rest in this game. Second string players will probably blow the demolition out of the water. For credibility's sake, I hope it's not a blow out.

Call Maiuri in Steubenville to see how to prepare for a semipro team that looks like the real deal.

I recommend you all go to the Illinois News Webpage that was posted a page or two ago. You can watch both videos, from the 6 and 10 o' clock news.
The player interviewed is my social studies and football coach, Tony Reetz. The he fan interviewed is one of my best friends whom I went to the games with. I was out to eat, otherwise I would also of been interviewed.
This owner also owes ME $53 for a jersey. I called last night to ask for a refund (obviously...if he my teacher doesnt play anymore, I don't want the jersey) and the lady told me she would call me back today. We'll see if that happens.
All I know is this owner lost at least one big fan. (waves)

Here's the real deal. Danville is a very tight knit community and the guy the owner tried to make take the fall, B.J. Luke, is a legend of sorts in this town. He's also a very loyal guy and a great coach. The ONLY way Danville will ever embrace this team in the future is if the current owner isn't involved. I expect the reception at the last home game to be very "interesting" for him... I also liked the comments about the "front office" qualifications. I was in the front office several times. No one was home! The front office was out back!!! Or somewhere. Doesn't matter how much education the front office has if the Rhode Scholars are always out to lunch (or hiding from bill collecters)!!!!!!!
