I just can't believe this happened.
Last night he was calling players in one by one...and my coach was the second one in his office. He told the owner that if he's gonna do this...he needs to be a man and address the whole team.
And then...for this guy to have the nuts to ask some of the players to rejoin? BTW...either all the players get to come back, or I don't think any of them will. It's about loyalty.
Also, this bastard owner stole $53 from me. I ordered a jersey on March 29th. I called last night..(before everyone was released) and a lady told me she was looking into it because she felt bad.
Now...the reason why I bought the freaking thing...is no longer a member of the team.
Can't believe it. What a waste of my time.

This owner sounds real shady.........I'm surprised the team made it this far in the season after all that he put this team through. Also as Gene stated before I'm really shocked that M&M didn't step in and financially aid the team to make it through the rest of the season like they did for the Riverhawks earlier this season. It'll be interesting to see how many teams fold by the end of the season.

This same thing happened to the Bears last season in the NIFL as the Maulers.
Right smack in the middle of the season after losing five of six, the owner, Jamie LaMunyon, fired the entire team and all of its coaches. Then Mink & Morris stepped in and purchased the team and rehired every single player, with Morris becoming the GM and Mink being the head coach. The team actually rallied under them and won five of their next six games.
And, as you can see, one way or another, the team was here this season.
Don't worry too hard. If the team and the fans were good, then they'll play again somewhere somehow.

Boo Hoo Hoo about the Fan Club. I understand what you are saying but what about the fans that are going to get to watch another team come in here and lose 100- 0. At most you might make what $50 on a real good night. I would much rather the guys have a week off since the last one they had was in the begining of the season.

I just read this off the Danville site: Update on the Danville Demolition There have been a lot of rumors and mis-information floating around. This is to clear it up. The Danville Demoliton is not folding, nor has the ownership changed. We will be finishing our season; we will be here next season and will be in Danville for the foreseeable future. The coaching staff was released. The new head coach is Willie Davis, our previous quarterback. The team was released. Some of the team (about half) will be asked to come back, the rest will be new players. We have a season record of 1-10. We believe we need new ideas. There have also been allegations made about the Demolition front office staff and medial staff. Facts. Practice is monitored by a student athletic trainer. A full-time trainer attends all games. The front office staff is well educated, holding 5 degrees (3 bachelors, marketing, chemistry and sports medicine and 2 masters in sports medicine and sports management) between 3 people. The office staff is part-time. We are available when we can be available.

Zac, i realize that you dont give a rats a$$ about the fan club but the bottomline is that its a business that needs to generate money. Sorry if you dont agree but i dont think any fan clubs would exist without generating revenue........ If the guys need a week off they sure as heck deserve it and i support it. BTW, last home game i made almost 3x's what you guessed above. Much more support this year Zac.We have more "Paid" members this season than we had free ones last year........

That is good for the Fan Club. And yes you did say that they DO need a week off. If you played any sport at all in your days you know that it is hard to not have any time off. And as far as the fan club, I did care but the same thing happened this year that happened last year. You want help with everything but you want to be the only one in the loop of things and that doesn't work for most of us. You will find some mongrle like Joe found in Scooter and then they can be your little puppy dog that will follow you around and obey every one of your orders but I have more pride in myself and the relationships I have made with the guys on the team that you will never understand. So as far as the fan club good luck and I am glad you are getting support on this and the main reason I think that you are getting more people to sign up is uh maybe 2nd year they guys are tearing it up. And there are more fans coming to the games! So next time you want to stab someone give them the heads up so they can get out of the way.

As i always said Zac, if you or anyone else had issues i was always there to listen but you guys never chose to speak with me to work this stuff out so if i dont know there is an issue how am i to address it and work it out with ya? Also, i stabbed no one in the back. You guys all resigned, and i supported it and thanked you all for your service.

It was fun but not for me. You should already know that if you tell one of the guys that is suppose to be helping you that "you have news but hey I can't tell ya" Than of course they are going to get alittle upset. A Fan I am but not a club member. And like I said I hope the best for the Fan Club. I hope this works out for you as well as the team.

You should already know that if you tell one of the guys that is suppose to be helping you that "you have news but hey I can't tell ya" Than of course they are going to get alittle upset. A Fan I am but not a club member. Something you have to realize is that the Fan Club is a business and i am the owner. I will always have control and or final say on all club issues, as any other business owner would, as long as the club will be around. I have no issues with you personally and if you have issues with me then feel free to call me up and talk about it. If there has ever been any info that i didnt pass on it was only because i was waiting to confirm it before i passed it on as to not spread potential false rumors. For the most part though, i told Ron and told him that it was at his discretion as to whether or not he passed it on to you. Something else thats confusing me here is that you initially wanted to help this season then when it came time to show up you never did. What happened in between that time? Did all these repressed feelings come out or something? This is all hitting me at once as there was never any indication that there was a problem. Its almost like a dual personality here. You say hi and shake my hand at the games then you come on here & blast me publicly? I dont get it? Also, as far as the pig roast goes i had absolutly no say in how it was gonna be run or anything. I let you guys do whatever you all wanted and all i asked was to be updated on the progress. Thats doesnt sound like i was all that controlling to me............

Numer 1 I didnt blast you I just posted that the time off for the guys was more important than the money to be made by the fan club. You are the one that started the blasting. I have no problem with you personally it is just some of the things that happen in this buisness you so called have. The not showing up part, if you are talking about the game you had me on the list I had 4 children with me it was raining and I was not going to be able to get them in and was not making my wife stand outside with the kids.

O.K. Let me get this straight. The Demolition arent folding. If they arent that is really good to hear. If they are then this "shady" owner might get some unwanted non-fans. :smileymudcats: :smileymudcats: :smileymudcats:
