Reading Express GM/Head Coach Bernie Nowotarski announced today that two veteran players from the first two seasons have re-signed with The Express.
Mike Schwebel and Shawn Foxworth have both signed contracts with The Express.
Mike is a 6’4” 290lb defensive lineman who also can jump over to the offensive side of the line. Mike provides both sides of the ball with depth and experience. Shawn is 5’10” 180lb wide receiver that has been part of the Express wide receiving group for the first two seasons. “The wide receiver position this year is probably going to be the most competitive spot on the roster. All the receivers are going to have to bring their best to camp.” commented Nowotarski.
“Both these players are PSAC guys. Mike is a Shippensburg product and Shawn is a Millersville grad. We have been getting a whole lot of interest from the PSAC schools and I’m fine with that. The PSAC has lots of great talent in it,” added Nowotarski
We will conduct one more open tryout on Saturday January 12, 2008 at our practice facility, Grand Slam Sports Complex. We are still searching for local talent as well as talent from the surrounding areas.

It's awesome to see that both of these guys will be in the line-up again. I feel that Fox can really make an impact on the field just like he's done in the past. |

Glad to have these guys back. Its gonna be a tough camp this season. No positions are guaranteed. Lots of talent to evaluate..........

Counting the 2 signings from the one tryout, I think that's 23 thus far, and that's with only 7 returning players so far? So Gene's right, there will be some tough competition out there.
