Former Reading Express head coach Kelly Logan has been named head coach of the Lancaster Lightning of the semi-pro North American Football League. ( www.lancasterlightning.com) Logan was named American Indoor Football Association Coach of the Year after leading the Express to a 16-3 record and the 2007 league title game in his only year as head coach. He was the defensive coordinator in 2006. Logan left the Express in July in what team owner Ted Lavender said was a "mutual" decision in order to spend more time with his family in New Jersey.

I can picture it now. An Amish horse and buggy trots onto the field. Out hops Coach Logan with his 16 pound sledge.
Best of luck coach.

Doesn't anyone remember my AIFL franchise? The Lancaster Congregation! Too bad our arena burned down due to a cow knocking over an oil lamp. That's how it goes sometimes!

Hopefully they can move out of the friendly confines of Pequea Valley (south of Intercourse, just past Paradise..... make your own jokes) and get back into the city.
YES, sometimes the Amish come to the Lightning games, and YES, if you go to the later games, you can see Boomer in interacting with a harvester and his team of horses....

Wasn't Carlos the Montgomery coach named coach of the year? I was looking for the article which named Coach Logan the AIFA Coach of the year but i cant seem to locate it. I know the Exzpress got many awards last season so its not a surprise if this is the case, which i am sure it is.
