Reading Express GM/Head Coach Bernie Nowotarski announced today that two year All-Star Defensive Nose Guard Brett “The Incredible” Kolk has signed on for another season with the Express. Brett is 6’2” 300lb nose guard with great speed, strength and his strong will on the field that doesn’t allow him to take any plays off. “Brett is a relentless player, he just comes at you all game long” said Nowotarski. Brett played his high school football at Manheim Central in Lancaster County, where the Barons went 34-3 over three years and was District Champions as well as being Nationally ranked. Brett played HS football with the likes of Matt Nagy(Columbus Destroyers), Dan Krieder (Pittsburgh Steelers) and Jeff Smoker(St.Louis Rams/Nashville Cats). “Brett is a huge piece of our defensive puzzle. I am glad to have him signed. It’s a nice early Christmas gift. I look forward to a few more vets signing in the near future” added Nowotarski. We will conduct one more open tryout on Saturday January 12, 2008 at our practice facility, Grand Slam Sports Complex. We are still searching for local talent as well as talent from the surrounding areas.
