You guys are more resilient than me. If Reading ever left i'd be done here as there is no team in the area i'd go see. I couldnt get into or follow a team where i couldnt attend games and/or events. I'd just keep following my Eagles. How many Canton games do you intend to go to this season? Since Erie is not in the market anymore i doubt any of the Canton games would be aired in that area unless of course you'll watch the games over the net or get the updates via cell phone?

cell phone? i don't think so. only over the 'net if they are free. i have family in akron and north canton so i might get to one game if the schedule coincides with a summer holiday visit to that area.
i have to admit, after thinking about it a little bit, i'd be worried if i had been a canton fan before now. i don't see any signs of life from them since the man the myth announced that the coach and gm had left and the building was empty all summer. any new news from the legends?

I talked with "Myth" on the phone yesterday and he said pretty much the same thing. No news coming in or out. All is quiet in Legend Country. I wont pay to watch the games either. If they arent on my local channels here i'll just have to follow them via live updates from the fans and teams front offices in our chat room.

We are going to play. We have a coach and we had some player try outs. For what ever reason, the team has chosen not to issue press releases on this. Until they do, I won't be releasing any info either. I wish we all could be Reading.

fine, if joe and scoot are in pitt and your in reading i'm a canton fan then. i certainly hope thats the last time someone drags out the "you have no team" argument. In all honestly I'm an AIFA FAN! Joe and I are 2007 members of the Expressfans & Leatherheads. Gene and Man/Myth are also multi club members. We attended 22 games in 2007 and were able to see every team except Baltimore, Montgomery & Gulf Coast. I'd have to admit that we'd probably be rooting for Canton full time this season except for the fact that the RiverRats have signed so many former Freeze players and we have had a very good relationship with everyone in the RRats organization. There also is a good possibility that Joe & I will be doing a number of things with them in 2008. We offered to help them in any way we can. An offer we made after we met Mr. Hauser at the Florence/Pittsburgh game. We have helped many of our fellow fans get their fan clubs started. Even teams that weren't in the AIFL/AIFA. I'd like to see EVERY indoor football team be as successful as they can be. That's our ultimate goal!!! You never want to see ANY team fold or move out of a city. We've now been through it twice in Erie. With the Freeze & Invaders. Also, when we lost the Panthers (ECHL). I can say for a fact, IT SUCKS!!!!! We have attended many games in Canton the past 3 seasons and we have a very good relationship with everyone there too. But they really have everything in place there and don't need us butting in. Except for going to as many of their games as we can and win the best seat in the house and 50/50s and join the Leatherheads and buy cards/pics from Picman. We always said that if we weren't Erie fans we'd be Canton fans. And we will be. (Except when they're playing the RRats.) We also have made a lot of friends in lots of other places. We are Quinteen Robinsons' (John.) biggest fans. I think we saw him play 3 consecutive weeks last year. He was SO happy to see us! And there's the THORCrazies, You want to talk about a group of fans in this league, these guys are it. To get painted up every week and follow your team!!! These guys are awesome!!! At the Championship Game you should have seen all the fans coming up to them asking to get their pics taken with them. These guys are the face of their team. As Joe and I were the Freezes' faces. And Myth & Picman are in Canton. And Gene & Zac and there loyal fans. They had GREAT representation down in Florence! I think that every sports team has fans like this, but AIFA Fans are some of the best!!! I could go on, but we'll be here forever. The thing is that Joe and I have been extremely lucky to have been able to go to so many places and see so many games. To get to meet a ton of players, fans & people in their respective organizations. And I can honestly say that 99.9% of everyone we met and everywhere we've been has been a great experience! And with any luck we'll continue to be able go around the league to as many games as we can and meet as many people as we can. We have a real passion for this game and the AIFA! And trust me when I say this, The BEST is yet to come! The future of this league is so bright. They've done so much in the their first year and their so far from being done. Just wait and see. I guarantee it will be worth the wait. And seriously, Root for WHATEVER team that you want to root for. As long as you root for a team(or teams!) that's what's important. Support the players and the organizations and the AIFA. Because without it FANS, there wouldn't be a need for it. AIFA FANS

As Joe and I were the Freezes' faces. I actually thought that the dude with the paper bag on (aka slocoma) was the Freeze's face.

way to go Scootor nice post, I can't wait for the season to start so we can get together again this time at a place they will let Joe in ;D ;D ;D ;D I think Brooke Hogan put a PFA against me that day. That is why they wouldn't let us in, and she was a no show.

Brooke is still trying to make the connection between the blue hair and the Canton Legends when there is no blue in their colors. LOL She's probably still telling the Hulkster about it, brother.
