Troy Polamalu of the Pittsburgh Steelers owning the Riverhawks partially? www.wjactv.com/mostpopular/13693287/detail.html Steelers' Polamalu Has Interest In RiverhawksPittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu has expressed an interest in future ownership of the Johnstown Riverhawks of the American Indoor Football Association. The team's owner, Michael Dawson, told WJAC sports that he has had conversations with Johnstown businessman and former Riverhawk coach Brian Basile concerning Polamalu's interest. Basile served as the Riverhawks head coach and general manager during the 2005 and 2006 seasons, and he is a friend of Polamalu's. Basile says Polamalu's possible ownership would bring credibility to the AIFA club. Dawson says he has taken a step towards securing the franchise for a fourth season by purchasing the War Memorial Arena turf for $17,000.

Why not? A couple Bengals own interest in the af2 Cincy JungleKats. In that case should the team be called the outlaws instead of JungleKats?

I was hoping that maybe Bob Sanders would be interested in partial ownership of the Freeze.

I was hoping that maybe Bob Sanders would be interested in partial ownership of the Freeze. Bob Sanders doesn't make much as far as NFL salaries go. Which is BS IMO. He could make a lot more from other teams.. He only made $430,000 last season! A great comparison with how the Colts undervalue Sanders is with my own Brownies. Leigh Bodden and Gary Baxter made about 4 million each last year and Daylon McCutcheon raked in about 3 million... Check here for other NFL players salaries.. Really cool tool asp.usatoday.com/sports/football/nfl/salaries/default.aspxAs far as Polamaulololo having interests in the Riverhawks, that's perfectly fine. Players are always in business ventures not related to the NFL. Just ask Michael Vick...

Dawson says he has taken a step towards securing the franchise for a fourth season by purchasing the War Memorial Arena turf for $17,000. Man why can't Erie get a deal like that? Freeze Turf + =

I don't know what his plans are if he's going to keep using a grass turf or are we getting one of those deals where we get carpet turf. I hope we do still get the grass turf they had last year.

Yes, make it him! That'll ensure a win for an opponent, but at least the QB will throw for 350 yards on one leg in the process.

Joey Galloway is a co-owner of the Columbus Destroyers. Apparently he's going to get a day off from the Buccaneers training camp so he can go to the Arena Bowl.

Looks like someone was riding someone's coattails and participating in a bit of namedropping? www.tribune-democrat.com/homepage/local_story_204233533.html?keyword=leadpicturestoryDespite reports indicating an interest in buying a stake in the Riverhawks, Polamalu denied having any plans to purchase the Johnstown franchise in the American Indoor Football Association. “Oh, no, I have no idea about that,” he said. “It’d be pretty fun though.”

I read the artile. Its states dawson had conversations with basile about the possible ownership of troy. Does not say anything about dawson and troy speaking so maybe basile offered it since basile is a friend of troys. I thinks its all to new and with camp starting troy would have enough on his plate. It would be a good thing though for this team money wise. I dont think theres any coat tail riding going on because it was a basile and dawson conversation.
