Riverhawks blast past Demolition

DANVILLE, Ill. — The Johnstown Riverhawks shrugged off three injuries that left the AIFA team short-handed on Friday night at the David S. Palmer Arena.
But the Riverhawks still beat the Danville Demolition 39-16 for Johnstown's first victory of the season.
“We had Quenteen Robinson (ankle) injured in the first quarter, we had Rodney Montgomery hurt in the first quarter, and we had Eric Weaver suffer a serious knee injury, Riverhawks coach Steven G. Folmar said. We were playing with 17 (players) in the first quarter. We only scored once in the second half, but now that we look back on it, we had so many guys at different positions. Our defense just showed up.
Folmar said Robinson (ankle) and Montgomery (knee) might be available for a March 4 game at Erie.
The coach wasn't sure about Weaver status but felt the injury was more serious than the other two players injuries.
