I saw in my U.S. Mail that The Freeze have a coupon advertizement in ValPack. This is something new this year. Nice to see advertizing well before the season starts.

Does the coupon offer anything (reduced admission, etc)?

The Otters are at home almost every Saturday in March, and all but one of the Saturdays in February I believe... so I'd count on everything but Saturdays at least until April sometime.

The whole idea of starting the league Feb 3rd is way too early in my opinion. Superbowl weekend? Why? Granted it's a nice appetizer before the big game, but trust me most of the fans will not be in indoor football mode. I honestly don't understand why they are worried about nice weather. In all honesty, i'd rather compete with the seawolves than the Otters. Erie is a hockey town.

I don't think it's that bad of an idea to get people hooked while football is still on their mind and to get the season over in the begining of the summer. Once summer hits in Erie, you don't find many people indoors.

Then I will not be getting season tickets this year. It's just too hard for me to attend Friday night games on a regular basis.

I heard the semi truck that is painted like The Freeze was updated on the Bayfront Highway. I also seen an ad on the Community Broadcast Channel for the up coming Chiller tryout. The Freeze also has an agressive marketing team this year. So, The Freeze name will be everywhere.

Speaking of those community channels... those are very inexpensive to do and would be good for fan clubs to generate some interest in their organization. At least here in Wayne and Stark Counties, it barely costs $100-$150 a month for us to reach a a couple hundred thousand people...

I'll have to look into that. Thanks.

I was wondering when that trailer was gonna be updated.
Some serious advertizing is needed, I still meet people who've never heard of the Freeze. They do have an ad agency (fishtank) sponsoring them, maybe they should contact that agency about advertising help. I know they've talked with fishtank but the main thing they've done is the Chillers callender (which to my understanding they won't do unless they are paid with money instead of tickets).

I do know that the new people they have are really going all out. And to my understanding, the sponsors(new and old) are all hopping on The Freeze bandwagon.
Alot more has been done this year than all the rest so far. Val-pack coupons, Times news ads, fliers, semi truck updated, community channel ad, radio ads, etc. I'm sure there will be more to come. Even more so when the season gets closer.
