While on a break, I, along with four friends, was able to take in my first home game of the year. What a disappointment it was! However, there's still a few pluses that should definitely be addressed. Jamie Williamson is a great QB, or at least, has the potential to be. I think he runs too much. Perhaps it's just getting used to the indoor game, where I imagine it's a bit harder to find someone to pass to. The gameday experience was pretty solid as well. It's always nice having free food. There's still a lot for fans to do (I really wish more than 1,300 showed up!), and those in attendance got noisy. Fortunately, this is still a championship caliber team. A couple of questions: #1 - Picman, where were you? I looked for you but didn't see you. #2 - Showing my lack of knowledge, why was the game ruled as being over when Williamson spiked the ball?

I was down in the end zone taking pics I didn't really set up a table so far this year cause Mrs. Picman has been taking fans pick so we been selling the cards at the fan club table. as far as the ending the ref said that they never blowed thw whisle to ready the ball before the play where The qb spiked the ball so the clock ran out. (so basicly since the refs were to slow doing there job be lost a chance to tie with a fg or win with a td)

Gotcha. Keep up the good work! The rationale for that ending is pretty ridiculous. Perhaps they could have set the clock back, we had a great chance to win. I should be able to make a good amount of games this year. Four home games take place after I get back from school. I'm also convincing a friend to bring a group from U of Akron for College Night. Keep up the great work: Legends fans, players, and staff!

I was at the game, and it was rediculous. The moment the ball was placed on the ground they should've blown the whistle to start play. Instead, they basically said, game over, without trying to get the play off.
Horrible way for a game to end. Especially with the 1,000 or so home fans stunned, thinking after the spike there was another play about to be run. Instead, with all the build up to that last play, there was no last play.

Let me try to describe this scene a bit for you.
The Civic Center has a stage on one end. In either corner are both teams. The officials enter and leave the field on the visitors side.
The play before the spike ended on the visitor side of the field (that hash mark). The umpire set the ball, the Legends snapped it, the spike occurred, the clock read one second left.
The officials conferenced, the referee stepped out, made the announcement (what we could hear), and they all left the field immediately, through the visiting teams entrance which was right in front of them.
That was the end of the game.
Now, we did not do our job because there was plenty of opportunity where it should not have come down to that. However, the way that ended was horrible game management on the official's part.

I agree you never know what could of happen, we could of won or lost but I could of acepted that instead of the refs deciding the game let the players decide the game on the field.

Refs being clueless seems to be an occuring theme in the AIFA
