 i was there early with alot of people with me we went in set up our chairs and then left to go get stuff to eat i had 5 kids with me and 3 adults 3 hr delay was too long to wait around.....well when we came back we didnt have our tickets stubs they were in my gym bag which i left inside at our seats mand i told them who, i was the mascot and they still wouldnt let me back in .oohhhhhhhhhhh slappy was so unhappy...........the legends need to put me on a list or something .........

Why didn't you call someone? The problem with playing Slappy is no one knows what you look like under the suit. If you don't have anyone's number, PM me, I'll give you mine and we'll make sure this doesn't happen again. By the way, I have to disagree with you about the wait. The Arbys Oven Mitt was there, the Penguin from the Balloon place was there. Hell, the Akron Aeros mascot Orbit was greeting people at the door. Slappy? The home team's mascot ... no where to be found. Apparently the wait was too long for our mascot, but the others had no problem with it. Dude, I like you, but you dropped the ball on this one. If you're going to bill yourself as Slappy 24/7, then you need to take the bad with the good. |

don't you guys have special passes? We just put ours on a lanyard and we have no problems. Then again, we have people around the doors anyhow that know us. That's still somewhat gay they didn't atleast try to confirm who you were. I would have told them to find Hoffman and clear it up with him.

IMO, not your fault. To begin with you should have some sort of a "Staff Pass" . The fact that a mascot would need a ticket stub to re-enter the building is absurd. I call a  on the arena staff. As Ron said talk to him and he can probably hook you up.......  |

The legends have passes, both Ron and me have them, Slappy what doors were you trying to get in the ones by Wendy's or the other side

 i had 4 -11 yrs old boys i 87 yrs old and 2 parents who all was bored and hungry...alot of people dont like sitting around for 2- 3 hrs....and on a school night at that ...i pay for my kids private school and that is so more important then me volunteering to be mascot....it would be different if i got paid......i was so embarassed in front of my company that we couldnt get back in... my cell phone was in my bag too couldnt call anyone......well i learnt my leason on this one...........

Gotta admit though this is funny. Kinda like a "Spinal Tap" type of thing. A mascot goes into the arena early, leaves his costume inside then comes back later only to have left his ticket stub in his bag and on top of that, because most people only know him with the costume on, he cant prove who he is therefore he is denied entrance. If anyone ever writes a book on the history of the AIFL-AIFA this could easily be a chapter in itself........ ;D
