Well, lucky for Canton you play Danville 2 of the last 4 games of the season, but your 2 remaining home games are going to be much needed wins. There are 3 playoff spots, right?

Outside of the players not playing with heart what else is the problem. Offense, defense, special teams? Canton looked good to me in Reading. For some reason or other they get up for us and play tough.........

Most of the problems come from our o-line and runningback not block for crap, and the fact that we never use the shootgun to give our QB more time. I definitly think it was over looking the riverrats. I hope they learned a lesson from the game

Canton's running back has played defensive end at Mount Union for the past 3-4 years... not surprising that he'd be better at shedding blocks than making them.
I hope the Legends can pull in some better crowds, but it all comes down to advertising. I live in the Canton area and have yet to see anything other than a sign on the back of a SARTA bus back in January...
Teams that can't market themselves shouldn't be scratching their heads wondering where all the fans are.

Slappy, I'll always be there, regardless. Then again, I'm a die hard.
I have expressed some concern regarding attendance on these boards. Let's take a look at our home games so far:
Erie: Blew them out Pittsburgh: Blew them out Reading: Blew us out Baltimore: Blew them out
So, as you can see, not the most competitive games.
The problem is not playing good teams, the problem is playing the mediocre teams. They look past opponents. That is not what championship play is about. You have to beat the teams you should beat and then split with the better teams hopefully. That puts you in a position to win a championship. They looked past the Freeze and almost got burned, they looked past the Rats and got fried and I expect the Danville game might be close. They play down to their opponents level.
They are doing things, but are they the right things? Is the "Legends Concert Series" targeting the core football audience? It is a unique idea, but how does that translate into football operation dollars? I give them high marks for trying new things and only time will tell.
The crowds have been more consistently in the mid to upper 2k range and might actually have a sell out on Brooke Hogan night. Now, can you build on that?
