 Suggestions?
« Thread Started on May 7, 2009, 2:46pm »

We are organizing our first booster club for the Columbus Lions and would like any suggestions from existing booster club members.

What works?

What doesn't work?

Mission statement?

etc.

We appreciate any advice you may have.

Do you have permission from the team?

I also wouldnt file any 501c non profit/federal papers either. Just run it as a cash biz till you see how it goes & even then not sure if i'd file all that expensive paperwork.

Otherwise, setup a table at the games, recruit members & go from there. You can decide on membership prices once you assemble a board. think of & buy a domain (cost around $10 at GoDaddy) & Get a website too.

Here is our mission statemtment for our club:
The purpose of the Reading Express Booster Club shall be:

- to support the Reading Express organization in all their daily operations on an as needed or requested basis.

- to promote the Reading Express in their community efforts, both on and off the Field.

- to help promote the Reading Express year round and in the Greater Reading & Tri-County areas

- to promote goodwill and attendance at all Reading Express football games.

- to keep open lines of communication between the Reading Express' management and the Reading Express Booster Club.

- to get fans involved in planning & attending team and club related events
.
