OK Fayetteville. Florence, Columbus and S. Carolina are gone!

Augusta and Albany will probably be in the SIFL as well.

Your move. Guard Fans, what are your thoughts?

I don't think they really have a choice. Travel will be horrible if they stay in the AIFA and there are no teams added.

For where Fayetteville is, travel to Reading et al won't be a whole lot different than Columbus and Texas.

From my standpoint i never even considered Augusta would return so i personally dont consider that they are leaving. I have never seen a team sit out a year and return the next season, atleast not in the AIFA. Albany was never here so again nothin lost.

That said, Fayetteville would be foolish to stay put in the AIFA. Travel expenses would kill them. They should strongly consider changing.

Not real sure travel will be that much less for Columbus unless a couple of more teams in the south join in. Tampa, La., and Texas are still a long way. There was some talk Columbis SC was putting a team back together, will they go SIFL? along with Augusta? What happens to Charlotte?

Same with Fayetteville. Trips to Reading/D.C./Balto (if they stay, of course) aren't really much better in total than trips to Greenville/Columbus/Houma.

I'm hoping that Fayetteville jumps to the SIFL, but I'm not holding my breath. I know I keep saying it, but this is the same bunch that clung to the NIFL 'till the bitter end.

Btw, Hi Josh.

Good luck with the Canton thing. No need to explain anything to me. I'm just a guy that's stuck here because I can't possibly bear the tought of life without indoor football....

With the addition of Augusta and shortly Albany to the fold, the SIFL would be a great choice for both The Carolina Speed and the Fayetteville Guard. Look at the advantages:

Natural Rivalries
Lower Travel Cost
Lower Salary Level
Less Overnight Stay
Fans Could Travel
Joint Marketing
No League Owned Teams
Higher Chance of Regional Media Coverage

I know that the owners of both teams realize the advantages of going SIFL. With the AIFA having lost 3 teams already to other leagues, Florence shut down and New Mexico on the way down, a decision to go SIFL could be survival. Carolina could be the cornerstone of the league in the future!

I moved my business including 31,000 square feet of office and warehouse space in 36 hours.

How long does it take to move the Guard's offices? Please! Don't be like the league office and keep the fans out of the loop. What is going on?
