Salary Cap « Result #4 Today at 7:35am »
I believe there is a strict salary cap on players and coaches in the AIFA. I find it hard to believe that so many former Florence players are going to San Jose and will be able to live on $200 per game There is no pay for training camp or bye weeks and there will be plenty of bye weeks. I realize that housing does not count towards the cap but the standard of living costs in San Jose is certainly higher then Florence.
Is anyone monitoring the contracts or do we just assume that as in the past that since this is the AIFA rules do not matter!

The San Jose Wolves are proud to announce the signing of former Alabama State University and AIFA All Star Ryan Beneby. Beneby (6'4 350) comes to the Wolves after playing in 2008 for the AIFA Champions the Florence Phantoms. Beneby was a key component in the Phantoms 10 game-winning streak as the offensive line gave up a league low in sacks allowed in 2008.
" Ryan is a offensive lineman that gives us a great anchor on our offensive line" said GM Bennie King. "Pass protection is the primary element that allows your offense to be successful we have a great quarterback and Ryan is a key component to our offensive production this year" said King.
At Alabama State University Ryan was an ALL-SWAC selection on the Hornets team that featured future NFL player Tarvaris Jackson.

Re: NJ Revolution leave CIFL for AIFA « Result #9 Yesterday at 8:56pm »
A friend who was looking into sponsorship possibilities with the NJ Revolution was told that the Revolution expect to play only 5 or at the most 6 home games this year. Certainly does not sound like the AIFA!
